Gaivota is a desktop email client for macOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.

Data We Collect

Email Account Access: Gaivota connects to your email provider (Google or Microsoft) using OAuth 2.0. We never see or store your password. Your email provider handles authentication directly.

Email Content: Your emails are fetched directly from your email provider and stored locally on your Mac. We do not transmit, store, or have access to your email content on any server.

Local Storage: All email data, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device. You have full control over this data.

Data We Don't Collect

  • We do not collect personal information
  • We do not track your email reading habits
  • We do not sell or share any data with third parties
  • We do not use analytics or tracking services
  • We do not store your data on our servers

Third-Party Services

Gaivota uses OAuth 2.0 to authenticate with Google and Microsoft. When you connect your account, you're authorizing Gaivota to access your email through their official APIs. Please review their privacy policies:

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control. You can delete all Gaivota data at any time by removing the application and its associated files from your Mac.
